The Multinational CIMIC Group in support of the Stability Police Units Center of Excellence training activities



Multinational CIMIC Group staff supported, as instructor, the training activity of the Stability Police Units Center of Excellence (CoESPU) in Vicenza.

In particular, during the courses "Gender Protection in Peace Operations" and "Civil, Police and Military Relations " has been illustrated the NATO CIMIC doctrine and the operational activity of the Multinational CIMIC Group as a Unit of the Italian Army, Multinational and Joint, specialized in civil-military cooperation.

Some of the main aims of the courses is to increase the knowledge on the subjects related to Gender Protection and provide useful tools to specialists who are employed as Gender Advisor in peace support operations.

The operators of the Multinational CIMIC Group are currently employed in numerous international contexts: in Kosovo, as part of the NATO joint operation, within the Joint Regional Detachment - Center (JRD-C); as part of the operation “Leonte”, UNIFIL Mission and the Joint Task Force-Lebanon Command (JTF-L) and ITALBATT in Lebanon; as part of the European EUTM SOMALIA operation, within the Staff of the Mission National Support Element in Somalia; in the Headquarters of the Italian Support Military Base (BMIS) in Djibouti; as part of NATO's Resolute Support operation under the TAAC-W (Train Advise Assist Command West) Headquarters in Afghanistan; in the framework of the European mission EUNAVFOR Med, in the Operation Headquarters in Rome.
