Colonel Mattia Zuzzi, thanking the Deputy President of the Italian Defense Commission for the visit, the highlighted the bond that has always linked the unit to the territory. The MNCG has, in fact, always collaborated with local institutions in the organization of cultural and sporting events such as the Exhibition on the Great War and the Multinational Run, just to name the last ones in chronological order. In addition, the unit has effectively collaborated with the Treviso area during the pandemic period by organizing an extraordinary donation of blood in collaboration with the local blood donators association, providing ready-to-use assets and means in favor of the Civil Protection and sending medical personnel to the Covid centers or the Drive Through centres to support healthcare staff.
Nowadays the MNCG is also a training institution recognized by NATO in the context of civil-military cooperation, and the major contributor to the Atlantic Alliance, in terms of specialized CIMIC assets, in support of the NRF (NATO Response Force), the rapid reaction force of the North Atlantic Treaty, deployable anywhere in the world and capable of intervening in a wide range of operations.
