NCLC 01/25 TRAINING WEEK LAUNCHED: CIMIC COMPETENCIES IN ACTION

The NATO CIMIC Liaison Course (NCLC) 01/25 officially kicked off this week at “Mario Fiore” Barracks in Motta di Livenza, running from 22 to 26 September 2025. Thirty-two students — both military and civilian — from eight countries (Italy, Portugal, Spain, France, Greece, Hungary, the United Kingdom and the United States) are attending this final step in the CIMIC Operator training path. The week’s program features classroom sessions, practical exercises, group work, and contributions from international guest speakers, including representatives from the US Army Civil Affairs, adding relevance to the course. The curriculum focuses on NATO CIMIC doctrine, communication and negotiation techniques, key tools for those operating in modern joint and multinational environments. This training perfectly reflects the core mission of the Multinational CIMIC Group, which shall be prepared to deploy and conduct CIMIC activities, giving full support to the NATO military Commander on the field. Through courses like the NCLC, the MNCG confirms its leding role as CIMIC education and training hub, serving NATO and Allied partners.
