CIMIC FUNCTIONAL SPECIALIST COURSE (CFSC 01/26) CONCLUDED AT MNCG HQ
The CIMIC Functional Specialist Course (CFSC 01/26) was concluded at the Multinational CIMIC Group Headquarters, Caserma “Mario Fiore” in Motta di Livenza, from 26 to 30 January 2026. The course was designed to strengthen specialised competencies supporting the effective employment of functional specialists within military organisations and, in particular, within deployed CIMIC structures in modern operational environments.
The course was activated upon a specific request from the Slovenian Ministry of Defence, channelled through the Slovenian National Representative to the MNCG Coordinating Committee, with the aim of qualifying Slovenian Functional Specialists within the CIMIC Joint Function. CFSC 01/26 was also open to civilian and military personnel from NATO and non-NATO nations with relevant expertise, interested in contributing to civil-military cooperation activities.
Delivered over five working days, the programme combined classroom instruction with practical activities, including syndicate work, and sessions focused on field experience drawn from real operational theatres. This approach supported a pragmatic learning process and facilitated the exchange of methods and perspectives in a multinational environment.
The participation of international guest speakers, including representatives from the Romanian National Defence University “Carol I”, further contributed to the breadth of discussion and to a shared understanding of functional specialist employment within CIMIC.
CFSC 01/26 is part of MNCG’s early-year training cycle hosted at MNCG HQ, aimed at supporting interoperability, shared standards and readiness for personnel operating in complex environments where effective civil-military interaction is essential.
MNCG is leading the way on civil-military cooperation.
